Joel completed a carpentry apprenticeship with a well known builder from Cronulla in 2005, During this time Joel undertook more study and gained a certificate IV in Building Studies.

On completion of his study Joel became a foreman for a Residental & commercial renovation company for 2 years where he gained experience in quality top floor additions, commercial glass and aluminium and renovations in the Eastern Suburbs.
